The first graduates of the bachelor’s degree programme at the Law Enforcement Academy completed a special training course from 6 to 21 August before beginning their service as investigators in prosecutor’s offices. The programme was aimed at strengthening the knowledge and skills acquired during three years of study based on the specific tasks of investigative activities in prosecutor’s offices.
As part of the programme, advanced training sessions were held on organising preliminary investigations, the tactics of conducting investigative actions, the application of procedural coercive measures, as well as methods of investigating certain types of crimes.
The trainees developed practical skills in digital forensics, OSINT – collecting and analysing information from open sources, and blockchain technologies, as well as working with polygraphs and specialised information systems.
In order to reinforce theoretical knowledge in practice, off-site seminars and training sessions were organised at the Department for Investigation of Especially Serious Crimes of the Tashkent City Prosecutor’s Office, the special training ground of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Yunusabad District Court for Criminal Cases.
Alongside professional training, particular attention was paid to service ethics, compliance with the requirements of the Code of Ethics, managing stress and conflict situations, courtroom advocacy, as well as developing professional written communication skills.
At the end of the course, certificates were solemnly presented to 31 young investigators. They were assigned to the designated territorial prosecutor’s offices to begin their service activities.
