The first graduates assigned to the prosecutor’s office begin their service

Today, an event dedicated to assigning the first graduates of the “Investigative Activities” programme of the bachelor’s degree programme at the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan to their places of service in the investigative units of territorial prosecutor’s offices was held at the Prosecutor General’s Office. The event was attended by the leadership of the Prosecutor General’s Office, heads of investigative and personnel units, veterans of the prosecutor’s office, Academy staff and graduates.

These graduates are the first specialists to have been trained under the unified system for training investigators for preliminary investigation and inquiry bodies, introduced pursuant to Decree No. PF–257 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 28 November 2022. During the educational process, priority was given to combining theoretical training with law enforcement practice, developing skills for independent conduct of criminal cases, and fostering a culture of unconditional respect for human rights and freedoms.

The event particularly noted the graduates’ acquired skills in qualifying crimes, using digital forensic tools, working with procedural documents, and applying modern methods and tactics of investigation, as well as their resilience to stress. The leadership of the Prosecutor General’s Office provided them with the necessary instructions and recommendations regarding the key tasks facing the investigative units of prosecutor’s offices, priority areas requiring attention in their service activities, and measures to improve the quality and effectiveness of crime detection and investigation.

At the conclusion of the event, the young specialists were reminded of the need to strictly adhere to the principles of legality, impartiality and justice, unconditionally respect human rights and freedoms, and justify the trust placed in them with a high sense of responsibility. The graduates were wished success in their future service activities.
