An expert discussion was held at the Law Enforcement Academy on the use of artificial intelligence to analyze technical and commercial losses of electricity and gas, as well as to detect and forecast cases of their illegal use at an early stage.
The expert discussion on the topic “Artificial intelligence-based analysis of electricity and gas losses and cases of their illegal use” analyzed the causes of technical and commercial losses, the conditions contributing to them, and the effectiveness of existing control mechanisms.
Experts exchanged views on information systems in the sector, mechanisms for accounting for electricity and gas, digital processing of available data, and practices for identifying losses. Particular attention was paid to improving digitalization processes and opportunities for the effective implementation of modern information technologies in practice.
The discussion also addressed the development of mechanisms for the early detection and forecasting of cases of illegal use of energy resources through artificial intelligence, as well as measures to improve the effectiveness of control and accounting systems.
The results of the expert discussion will serve as a basis for developing practical proposals and recommendations to reduce energy resource losses, prevent cases of illegal use and theft, as well as introduce artificial intelligence technologies into the sector.
