Law enforcement academy and Supreme court signed a memorandum of cooperation

The document is aimed at developing long-term, effective and mutually beneficial cooperation between the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the field of judicial and legal affairs, and at further strengthening the integration between judicial practice, science and education.

At the roundtable discussion held within the framework of the Memorandum, the parties discussed priority and practical areas of cooperation. In particular, issues related to organizing joint research projects, educational and practical events with the participation of experts and qualified specialists, as well as conducting an in-depth analysis of law-making and law enforcement practice were considered.

Particular attention was also paid to developing scientific and practical research on current issues of judicial practice and providing them with the necessary materials and information related to judicial practice.

At the conclusion of the meeting, an agreement was reached between the Academy and the Supreme Court to develop a separate “Roadmap” aimed at consistently implementing cooperation in the fields of science, education and digitalization based on specific measures.

The “Roadmap” will provide for conducting joint research, broadly introducing the results of judicial practice into the educational process, implementing educational projects aimed at improving the qualifications of judges and court staff, as well as defining cooperation measures on the use of digital technologies and modern information solutions in the judicial and legal field.

The Memorandum and the forthcoming measures aimed at its implementation will serve to strengthen the close connection between judicial practice, science and education, increase the practical significance of scientific results, improve the quality of personnel training, and provide scientific and methodological support for digitalization processes in the judicial system.
