A specialized seminar-training was held at the Academy of Law Enforcement of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the support of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany. The event was dedicated to the use of advanced OSINT methods in combating terrorism and violent extremism on the Internet.
The seminar-training covered advanced international practices and modern methods of geospatial intelligence (GEOINT), satellite imagery analysis, chronolocation, searching for and analyzing information on social media (SOCMINT), as well as archiving and presenting electronic evidence in accordance with international human rights standards and the principles of the rule of law.
The training sessions, conducted under the guidance of international expert trainers from the United Kingdom and Germany, combined theoretical and legal aspects with practical analysis of anonymized real-life cases and the completion of specialized practical tasks.
The seminar-training contributed to strengthening the professional skills of representatives of law enforcement agencies, as well as to the exchange of advanced international experience in collecting and analyzing information from open sources (OSINT) in combating terrorism and violent extremism.
At the end of the event, participants were presented with certificates from the Academy of Law Enforcement of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
