A legal awareness event aimed at preventing offences and crime among minors, enhancing students’ legal awareness and legal culture was held at General Education Schools No. 178 and No. 182 in Chilanzar District of Tashkent City. Employees of the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan participated in the event.

Students were provided with explanations on the topic of “Prevention of Neglect and Offences among Minors”. Particular attention was paid to the rights and obligations of minors, the negative consequences of offences and crimes, measures to prevent neglect, development of legal culture, as well as the meaningful organisation of young people’s free time.

Students were also advised to be aware of factors that may lead to the commission of offences, resist the negative influence of peers, use the Internet and social media responsibly, and protect their rights and interests in accordance with the procedure established by law.

During the open dialogue, students had the opportunity to directly address specialists on legal issues of interest to them and receive relevant explanations.
