At the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a roundtable discussion was held on the topic “Leading Women in the Law Enforcement Sector in the Era of Digitalization” within the framework of implementing the UN Sustainable Development Goal 5 (SDG 5), aimed at ensuring gender equality and empowering women and girls.

The event was organized with the aim of developing the professional potential of women and girls, expanding their opportunities to participate in law enforcement activities, exchanging practical experience, as well as fostering professional orientations and leadership qualities among female students, taking into account modern digital transformation processes.

The roundtable discussion paid particular attention to the professional paths of women leaders, modern approaches to implementing gender policy in the law enforcement system, the role of women in ensuring public safety, personnel training in the context of digitalization, as well as prospects for women’s participation in the fields of cybersecurity, digital forensics and forensic examination.

During the event, representatives of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the University of Public Security, the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Cyber University, as well as the Republican Center for Forensic Examination named after Kh. Sulaymonova under the Ministry of Justice, shared their professional experiences.

The holding of such meetings contributes to ensuring the continuity of professional experience between generations, supporting women and girls who have chosen professional careers in the law enforcement sector, as well as fostering among female students an aspiration for professional development, leadership and the acquisition of modern digital competencies.

The event brought together more than 60 participants.
