Within the framework of short-term professional development training courses organized by the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan for members of the “Mahalla Seven” of Tashkent city, Tashkent and Jizzakh regions, training sessions were held on compliance with cyber hygiene rules among the population and protection against cyber threats.

During the training sessions, practical recommendations were provided on the main types of modern cyber threats, protection of personal data, identification of suspicious links and messages, and safe use of social networks and messengers.

Cyberbullying was also discussed separately as a new form of offense manifested in such actions as aggression, intimidation, insulting and humiliating individuals through social networks and other digital platforms. Attention was paid to the role and responsibilities of the “Mahalla Seven” in the early identification and prevention of such cases, as well as in raising the digital security culture among the population, especially young people.

These training sessions will contribute to strengthening preventive and effective awareness-raising activities on cybersecurity in mahallas, increasing citizens’ awareness of cyber threats and their skills in protecting themselves against them.
