The Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan was visited by delegations from Armenia, Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation participating in the meeting of the Coordinating Council of Heads of Tax (Financial) Investigation Bodies of the CIS Member States (KSONR).

For information: KSONR is a CIS body established on 20 October 1999 by a decision of the heads of the tax (financial) investigation bodies of the member states. On 30 November 2000, by a decision of the CIS Council of Heads of Government, KSONR was granted the status of a CIS sectoral cooperation body, and the Regulation on the Council was approved.

During the meeting, the guests were provided with detailed information about the Academy’s main areas of activity and organisational structure, as well as its system for training, retraining and professional development of employees of prosecution and investigative bodies.

As part of the visit, the members of the delegations familiarised themselves with the Academy’s material and technical facilities, specialised classrooms and research laboratories, including digital forensics laboratories. The innovative approaches and advanced teaching methods introduced into the educational process aroused considerable interest among the guests.
