The leadership of the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan and staff members of the Research Institute of Digital Forensics studied the causes and conditions contributing to cybercrime in Andijan region based on scientific approaches.

This work was carried out within the framework of implementing the tasks identified during the visit of the Head of our state to Andijan region. Based on the findings, proposals were developed aimed at early prevention of cybercrime, timely identification and elimination of the causes and conditions facilitating its commission, as well as improving the effectiveness of investigations. Information materials were prepared to warn the population about new methods and schemes of cybercrime, enhance digital literacy, and develop safe behaviour skills in the information environment.

A meeting was held in Andijan city with the participation of members of the mahalla seven and employees of other responsible organizations. The participants were informed about the methods of committing widespread cybercrimes, measures to protect citizens from them, and preventive measures. Participants were provided with information materials and video clips designed to raise public awareness. Explanations were also provided on the widespread implementation of the “APK Qo‘riqchi” mobile application among the population and employees of organizations.

A separate preventive meeting was held with members of the mahalla seven at the “Do‘stlik” MFY in Andijan city. The “APK Qo‘riqchi” application was installed on their mobile devices, and the procedure for using it was demonstrated in practice.

Thus, the Academy’s work on studying the causes of cybercrime was continued through public awareness-raising and preventive activities at the mahalla level.
