On 29 September, a working group consisting of Deputy Head of the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan A. Odinayev and professors and teachers studied the criminogenic situation in Temur Malik mahalla of Almalyk city, Tashkent Region. Particular attention was paid to the causes and conditions contributing to offences and risk factors specific to the area.

This study was conducted within the framework of comprehensive scientific and practical activities being carried out by the Academy in the cities of Almalyk and Angren. These activities are aimed at the early prevention of offences and the formation of a safe and stable social environment in mahallas.

Based on the studies conducted in Almalyk and Angren, taking into account the specific characteristics of the areas, targeted scientific and practical recommendations were developed to prevent crime and eliminate its causes and contributing conditions.

Currently, work is being carried out to implement these recommendations in practice, regularly assess the effectiveness of preventive measures, and study the impact of the measures being taken on the state of offences in the areas.

In addition, the Academy is organising training seminars for members of the “mahalla seven” with the aim of strengthening the prevention system in mahallas. The sessions place particular emphasis on improving legal literacy, the early identification and resolution of family disputes, enhancing the effectiveness of social prevention, and developing skills for direct and targeted engagement with the population.
