A practical training session was held at the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan for first-year undergraduate students in cooperation with military personnel of the Honor Guard Battalion of the National Guard of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
In accordance with the curriculum and study programme, the first training session in the subject “Drill Training” was organized within the “Military and Physical Training” module. The topic was “Unarmed Drill Techniques and Movements”.
At the beginning of the training, the military personnel demonstrated the drill techniques. Following this, together with the military personnel, the students practised standing at attention, turning in place, giving a military salute, leaving and returning to the formation, as well as marching in formation to the sound of a drum.
Drill training contributes to developing the skills of maintaining correct posture, precision of movements and neat appearance, as well as discipline, alertness and the ability to control one’s movements. The training session involving military personnel with practical experience is a practical component of preparing students for their future service activities.
