Practical First Aid Training Sessions for Academy Students

At the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, training sessions were held for second-year undergraduate students with the participation of a lecturer from the University of Public Security and specialists from the Medical Service of the National Guard. The students learned methods of providing first aid to themselves and others in cases of injury and bleeding.

The training sessions were organized within the framework of the implementation of Resolution No. PQ–302 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 26 August 2026 “On Additional Measures to Further Improve the System of Training Professional Personnel in the Field of Ensuring Public Security”. They were the first practical training sessions held within the framework of cooperation between the Academy and the University of Public Security on conducting mutual skills training sessions.

During the lessons dedicated to the topic “First Aid for Injuries and Bleeding” within the module “Fundamentals of First Aid and Valeology”, specialists explained the classification of injuries, types and signs of bleeding, as well as the procedures and rules for providing first aid.

During the practical part of the training, methods of stopping bleeding using specialized and improvised means, as well as methods of providing first aid to oneself and to each other, were reviewed.

The skills training sessions were aimed at strengthening students’ knowledge of first aid and developing their practical skills. These skills are important for taking appropriate and timely action in emergency situations during their future service activities.
