The working group of the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan studied the criminogenic situation in the “Ozodlik” mahalla of Angren, Tashkent Region. The causes of offenses and crimes, as well as the conditions contributing to them, were analyzed, and scientifically grounded proposals were provided for organizing targeted prevention in the mahalla.
This study was conducted as part of the implementation of the tasks set out in Resolution No. PQ–1 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated January 3, 2025, aimed at creating a safe environment in mahallas and preventing offenses at an early stage.
During the analysis, the specific characteristics of offenses in the mahalla were assessed. The proposals were developed taking into account the identified factors and the existing situation in the area.
In the mahallas of Angren assigned to the Academy, recommendations developed on the basis of previous studies are currently being put into practice. The effectiveness of preventive measures is regularly assessed, and the impact of the measures being taken on the situation regarding offenses is being studied.
As a continuation of this work, the Academy is also organizing training seminars for members of the “mahalla seven”. The sessions are aimed at strengthening the prevention system in mahallas.
