At the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, employees of the central office of the General Prosecutor’s Office participated in the test examinations in the “Literacy” category of the traditional national competition in the state language.

The “A Nation Lives Through Its Mother Tongue!” competition, held among employees of the Prosecutor’s Office, Department and Bureau bodies, has been organized since 2021. The competition is aimed at improving employees’ speech culture, strengthening the skills of conducting official correspondence proficiently in the state language, and ensuring the accurate use of legal terms.

At the qualifying stage, participants’ knowledge of the spelling, pronunciation and stylistic norms of the Uzbek literary language, the Uzbek alphabet based on the Latin script and spelling rules, as well as legal terminology, was assessed. Particular attention was paid to the correct use of legal terms and the ability to express thoughts clearly, understandably and accurately.

Based on the test results, the first, second and third-place winners were determined. The participant who took first place was recommended to participate in the national stage of the competition.
