X. Yuldashev, a staff member of the Language Teaching Department of the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, has successfully completed the CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) programme and obtained an internationally recognised qualification in English language teaching.
The CELTA certificate, awarded by Cambridge English, confirms a teacher’s methodological knowledge and practical pedagogical skills in teaching English as a foreign language. The programme covers theoretical training and teaching practice. During the practical component, specialists observe lessons and assess the teacher’s performance.
During the training, particular attention was paid to planning lessons in accordance with learners’ needs and proficiency levels, developing language skills, applying communicative approaches, and analysing completed lessons.
The application of the approaches acquired in English language classes at the Academy is intended to expand opportunities for the practical development of learners’ oral and written communication skills. The experience gained will also serve as a basis for promoting modern teaching methods within the Department’s activities.
