A working group from the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan examined the criminogenic situation in the “Jizzaxlik”, “Madaniyat” and “Ulug‘bek” mahallas of Jizzakh city.

In the “Jizzaxlik” mahalla, the causes and conditions contributing to offences and crimes were analysed. Based on the identified factors, scientific proposals for targeted prevention measures were developed.

The study was conducted as part of the implementation of the tasks set out in Resolution No. PQ–1 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 3 January 2025, “On Measures to Create a Safe Environment in the Republic’s Mahallas in 2025 and Further Improve the Effectiveness of the System for Early Crime Prevention”.

Recommendations developed based on studies conducted in the mahallas of Jizzakh Region assigned to the Academy are being implemented in practice, while the effectiveness of preventive measures is regularly assessed. The training seminars organised by the Academy for members of the “mahalla seven” are also part of this systematic work and aim to strengthen their practical skills in organising preventive measures in mahallas.
