Study of Salford University’s experience in training personnel for law enforcement agencies

A working visit to the United Kingdom by a delegation from the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Law Enforcement Academy to address counter-terrorism issues has commenced. As part of the visit, representatives of the Law Enforcement Academy met with officials from the University of Salford.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged information about the activities of the Academy and the University, the organisation of the educational process, and their experience in personnel training, and discussed areas for future cooperation. Given the University of Salford’s specialisation in training personnel for law enforcement agencies in Greater Manchester, particular attention was paid to its experience in this field.

The Academy’s representatives familiarised themselves with the university campuses and educational and practical infrastructure. In particular, training facilities designed to develop investigative skills and virtual simulation programmes were demonstrated. Information was provided on their use in practical training sessions and their potential to develop professional skills.
