The event, organised under the slogan “My Mother Tongue Is the Pride of My Nation!”, was attended by the Academy’s faculty members, staff, students and their family members.
The programme featured family performances on the theme “I Read Books with My Family”, recitations of poems and stories celebrating the mother tongue, literary competitions and quizzes for children, as well as intellectual question-and-answer sessions involving parents and their children.
An exhibition of fiction and educational literature was organised as part of the event. Active participants were recognised.
The programme placed particular emphasis on the role of reading in intellectual development, independent thinking and the development of speech culture, as well as the importance of family reading in raising children.
