A blended-format professional development course was organized at the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan for staff of regional prosecutor’s offices and equivalent offices, as well as investigators from district (city) prosecutor’s offices.
The course was aimed at improving professional knowledge and practical skills in investigating and correctly classifying crimes. The sessions covered modern investigative methods, the essential elements of criminal offences, the collection and evaluation of evidence, and the lawful and reasoned adoption of procedural decisions.
Theoretical topics were discussed through practical scenarios, case studies and examples drawn from investigative practice. Participants analysed challenging issues encountered in crime investigation and classification and exchanged views on possible solutions. The sessions involved the Academy’s faculty members and specialists with practical experience in the relevant fields.
The blended learning format enabled participants to study without taking leave from work and to strengthen their professional skills through practical sessions at the Academy. At the end of the course, participants’ acquired knowledge and practical skills were assessed, and documents certifying successful completion of the programme were duly issued in accordance with the established procedure.
