Scholarships as an investment in national competitiveness: The Academy moderates a discussion at the Global Talent Forum

The impact of scholarship programmes on national competitiveness, the selection of talented candidates and ensuring equal access to educational opportunities were the main topics of discussion at the Global Talent Forum held in Samarkand.

Uygun Uchkunovich Nigmadjanov, Deputy Head of the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan for International Cooperation and Youth Affairs, moderated a panel session entitled “Investing in Talent: Scholarships as a Catalyst for National Competitiveness”. Representatives of organisations from Germany, Poland, the United States, Japan and Türkiye took part in the session.

The session addressed issues such as improving scholarship programmes, identifying promising candidates, ensuring equal access to educational opportunities, securing sustainable funding for the programmes and assessing the long-term outcomes of investments in human capital.

Held on 29–30 October, the forum focused on human capital development in a changing world. It was organised by the El-Yurt Umidi Foundation.
