Participation in an International Seminar-Training on Combating the Financing of Terrorism

Graduate students of the Master’s Program at the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan participated in an international seminar-training in Ankara, organized by the Gendarmerie and Coast Guard Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, dedicated to combating the financing of terrorism.

Representatives from over 15 countries attended the event, where participants exchanged views and experiences on pressing issues. They extensively explored the use of crypto-assets in financing terrorism and strategies to combat this phenomenon, the commission of crimes related to financing terrorism in cyberspace, the unique characteristics of investigating such crimes, and the improvement of national legislation based on international laws on combating the financing of terrorism.

At the conclusion of the seminar, participants shared their reflections and recommendations on issues related to combating the financing of terrorism.
