A seminar-training was held at the Academy in cooperation with the British Embassy in Tashkent and the organization “Tech Against Terrorism”


A seminar-training was held at the Law Enforcement Academy in cooperation with the British Embassy in Tashkent, with the participation of “Tech Against Terrorism” specialists R. Donovan, E. Husband, and H. Brennan, for representatives of the State 
security service, the Ministry of internal affairs, and the Academy.

           The purpose of the event was to exchange experience in combating terrorism-related content on social media.

For reference, Tech Against Terrorism is a UK-based organization working to counter online terrorism.

          Within the framework of the seminar-training, participants exchanged experience on countering terrorism-related content on social media and received practical information about modern methods and practices in this field.

          In addition, during the event, the organization demonstrated the capabilities of removing terrorist content from the internet upon partners’ requests through the Trusted Flagger Platform, which unites more than 300 technology platforms.

          The event contributed to strengthening the capacity of law enforcement officers in combating terrorism-related content on social media.
